David’s Book Dedication

I dedicate my book to my brother Daniel who has been my inspiration since his life-changing stroke at the young age of 49. Over the years people who knew Dan, would ask me, “How is your disabled brother doing?” My response has always been, “I don’t have a disabled brother. But I do have a differently abled brother.”

Dan’s stroke resulted in a condition called expressive aphasia, which basically meant he was trapped inside his body with limited speaking, writing, reading, and walking ability. In addition, he was left paralyzed on his right side with limited eyesight. But that didn’t make my brother 100% disabled. He is “differently- abled.” People love being around Dan because besides being able to say “YES” and “NO,” Dan’s speech therapy expanded his ability to say three additional phrases including, “Thank you,” “I love you too” and “How are you today?” My brother Dan is very smart, kind, compassionate and very sensitive to others who are physically challenged. As hard as it has been, my brother has managed to adjust to his life limitations. I love you Dan!

I also dedicate my Just for You book to my faithful Heavenly Father and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  To God be the Glory!
