Alex

Alex is a short, red-haired, freckle-faced nine-year-old. Early in his life, Alex experienced a rare disease that changed his life forever. As a result of the illness, his speech is sluggish and to balance his steps, he walks with crutches. Make no mistake about it, though, Alex is not disabled.  Alex is differently abled! 

When the classroom bell rang and the school day was over, there was always one thing that brought a smile to Alex’s face. He would gather his books and head over to his favorite place in town, the “Just for You” Pet Shop on Main Street.

The owner of the Just for You Pet Shop on Main Street always has a special display in the front window featuring one or more of the many pets available for adoption.
